| First of all we should remember the myths. According to mythology Crete was the mythical kingdom of King Minos. Legend tells us that King Minos refused to sacrifice a bull to the gods. Poseidon decided to punish him and made his wife fall in love with a bull. From this union Minotaur was born and then was hidden in a labyrinth. The other legend says that to avenge the death of his son by the Athenians, King Minos made them give 7 young girls and boys in sacrifice to Minotaur. During one expedition Theseus, the famous mythical hero and son of the King of Athens, was left with the young Athenians. With the help of Ariadne, King Minos’ daughter, Theseus killed Minotaur and found his way out of the labyrinth. So don’t loose the chance to visit Knossos Palace, the home of Minotaur and to revive the myths.
